Intro: [00:00:00] Welcome to Energetic Advantage, the podcast where energy isn't woo, it's your edge. I'm your host, Jessica Serato. Intuitive strategist, lifelong pattern decoder, lover of numbers, and energetic guide for visionary leaders. Around. Here we go. Energy first, strategy second. Every episode will give you a perspective, a tool, or a timeline shift that helps you lead from your power.
Because the truth is your energy is your most undervalued asset. Until you learn how to use it, get ready. You're about to have the advantage. Let's begin.
Hey, hey. I'm so excited for this month's forecast, the energy forecast for April, because when I shared a preview of it in the Q2 quarterly forecast that I did two weeks ago, the whole room lit up. People were laughing, leaning in, immediately, getting into it. I could [00:01:00] tell that they could. Feel the energy and were genuinely excited about it.
And that lit me up because back in December when I was looking ahead to the entirety of 2026, I was on a call and someone asked me a really great question, which was like, what are you most looking forward to? Like when you look ahead and right away, I blurted out April and May and maybe I didn't know fully at the time why.
But now I do. And whew, quarter two. Specifically April is shaping up to be one of my most favorite months of 2026. so my goal here today in this energy. Like all of my energy forecasts is to help you feel more confident, more prepared, and to bring you tangible and actionable things that you can do to make the most of the energy that is coming.
And I just had [00:02:00] to laugh right before I hit record. I kind of got a aha moment and I was like, wow. This is why they say April showers, bring May Flowers, April and May. Are always very connected, but this year more than ever. They are. And I do not subscribe to perhaps the underlying message of that age old saying that it, we have to get through the rain or something, quote unquote bad needs to happen before we get the good, the flowers.
I do not subscribe to that. Cancel, delete. Right. And especially living in the Pacific Northwest, rain isn't bad 'cause it happens all the time. Right. But I do feel this very strong connection. Between April and May and what we do or do not do in April is directly proportionate to how we will experience May.
So let's get into [00:03:00] it. You know, sometimes again, my next episode I feel you're going to laugh because it is coming out on April Fool's Day, and I talk about the importance of humor. And levity in my work. And so when I got the download back in December for this month, April, sometimes I wish I get more profound visualizations or like it sounds just more I don't even know.
More serious maybe. But for April, I got a meme and you've seen this meme kind of floating around the interwebs and it's a graph. And on the bottom hand, is effing around. So the more you eff around, and then the other part of the axis is the more you find out. And of course this is directly proportionate and that is exactly this energy of April.
April is asking you to experiment, to try new things, to really go for it. [00:04:00] And if you do. You will be so happy that you did because in May you will have found out a lot of things. And if you don't, well, I'm not ominous, but you can figure out. You won't find out. And if you don't find out, you will always be searching.
You will always be seeking, you will always be trying to find, and that type of energy. Is not what we want, especially in this season. So before we go any further, let's anchor in to the numbers here. So April holds the energy of a five this year, and we get that number by adding the four in April to the year two plus zero, plus two plus six, right?
And then we get 14, one plus four equals five. And this is really important to really feel into in Pythagorean numerology, Pythagoras, you know that A squared plus, B squared plus C squared guy, he. Has a home base for each of the [00:05:00] numbers, frequency, and it looks like a tic-tac toe board. So I want you to imagine a tic-tac toe.
And in the bottom left hand side of the grid is the number one. This is where we begin and we go up. So one space up is the two, one space up is the three, and then we come back down to the bottom of the grid and the 4, 5, 6. 7, 8, 9, and this grid is really important because the numbers across the bottom are physical.
The three numbers across the middle, the two, the five, and the eight are emotional, and the numbers across the top 3, 6, 9, yeah, Tesla. These are mental energies. And then we can also split this tic-tac toe in half the left side being more feminine and the right side being more masculine. So I love how you're already going there.
'cause I hear some of you asking, well the five is like smack in the middle. Ding, ding, ding. Yep. So the [00:06:00] five sits in that center square, that center square of the tic tac toe. And have everyone seen that show Hollywood Squares, where of course you always pick the middle person because why? It gives you the most chance for connection because that middle space where the five sits.
In your body, which is your heart, is connected to all of the other numbers, and it is the only number that is. so in the empowered side in April, you will feel connected to a whole lot of different things, right? You will feel the energy of others and yourself so strongly, and it's kind of like maybe your head will be on a swivel a bit like, Ooh, there's that, and there's that, and there's that.
And you see how this also can be a really big challenge. The empowered side of being surrounded and being connected to all things can sometimes serve as a distraction and perhaps like you're boxed in or you feel you can't do [00:07:00] things because you are so connected to others, and herein lies. The fundamental challenge and also the reward of the five is leaning into both.
so when we feel into this energy, the most important piece that I keep coming back to is that this month is not asking you to figure everything out. Right. We know in March we were working on structure, on grounding. Now we're up in the heart. We're in the curiosity this month, April is asking you to get curious enough to find out, and there is a big difference here, a very strong discernment that I want to be clear.
A lot of people might hear the F around and find out. And thinks it means chaos, like reckless decisions, just throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. But that is not the vibe at all. If you do that, you are just going to end the month with a [00:08:00] whole pile of cold spaghetti and tired arms, April's energy does not start with action. It starts with curiosity. So before you do anything externally, you are going to shift how you're interacting with the world internally. And the easiest place to start with that is being aware of the questions you ask. So many of us, when we're starting something new, we ask ourselves the question, well, okay, where do I start?
What do I do first? And remember that meme that I talked about at the beginning, remember, this is directly proportionate. So my suggestion for you is to ask the question, well, what do I wanna find out? What do I want to know? And then reverse engineer. And by understanding and being curious about what you wanna know, what do you wanna find out?
Well, the energy is gonna tell you where to f around the energy is gonna tell you what action to take. Because April [00:09:00] is so curiosity driven. I wanna spend time here talking about the power of questions because I have observed that most people don't actually ask questions because they're curious. They ask because they know answer that they want, but they want validation of it.
It's like basically confirmation, phishing, right? You know the questions that, well, do you think this is a good idea? Should I really do that? Do you think they meant that? Right? And I laugh, we even know this in the way we Google search. So if you go to Google and you say, are dogs better than cats?
You are going to get pages and pages and pages of articles and information that tells you yes. In fact, dogs are better than cats. Right? Whereas if you ask a different question, are cats better than dogs? Still a horrible question. 'cause what are you gonna get? You are gonna get confirmation in the other direction.
What is the question that you can ask out of [00:10:00] curiosity? Hmm. I wonder, which. Is better? Is it this or this? Genuine curiosity, not confirmation seeking. Okay, so curiosity sounds more like, huh, what would happen if I wonder what's possible here? Right. These more open-ended questions that feel uncomfortable sometimes to ask because we might be surprised with the answer.
Curiosity opens doors. Right. And in April, this will be a month where doors will open through curiosity. So, curiosity is the key. And you know who is phenomenal at this kids because they ask questions with zero embarrassment, zero expectation. And this is the type of energy I want you to embrace in April.
So I'll give you this example that happens all the time for me. So my kids will go [00:11:00] into a restaurant or a store like Starbucks or you know, a coffee shop, and they won't even look at the menu. They'll just feel inside their body and be like, oh, like what do I want? And then they will ask for it, and they will ask for something that is absolutely not on the menu.
It's just what they want. They're curious if they have this, because that is what they want. most of the time I'm standing there and I'm thinking, oh my gosh, please don't ask that. It's not on the menu. Can't you just choose from what is given right? nine times outta 10.
The person behind the counter goes, oh yeah, sure, we can do that. And I'm like, what? My kids get what they want, not because they know the system, but because they are willing to ask the question and they have no attachment to the answer. And as adults, we stop doing this. We assume that the answer is no before we even ask.
We don't want to be [00:12:00] surprised. We tend to want confirmation of what we already know, and that is a surefire way to really get stifled by the energy this month because April's energy says Ask anyway, not because we're demanding something. If my kids ask for something and the answer was no, they would just order something else, right?
It's not like I have to have this or nothing. They asked because they're genuinely curious if this person has what they want. And then after that curiosity, they will make the decision. Now, I wanna be clear here, just because you asked the question doesn't guarantee you that you will get the results.
Okay? This month is not saying that Curiosity is looking for results. What does curiosity give us? Well, it gives us data. When we approach life with curiosity, we stop needing every move to be the right move. Right? We're just collecting information. Did that work? Ah, interesting. Did that not work? [00:13:00] Hmm. Also interesting.
Do you see how this means nothing about me or the actual question? It's providing data, and if you think about this, this is exactly how a scientist approaches experiments. Many times a scientist is really excited when their hypothesis is proven wrong. Why? Because they now know one more thing that it's not going to do, right?
It's you know when you experiment with something and you get a result. That should be celebrated even if it's not the result you thought or that you wanted, because it gives you information. When we are curious, nothing is wasted. Everything becomes information. And like I said, this is exactly how innovators think.
This is exactly how scientists think. This is exactly how leaders think. And so April is this month where gathering information becomes incredibly valuable, and the way to gather [00:14:00] information is to be curious and to try new things because the arc of this quarter. Remember, if you want the full Q2 forecast where I go through this in detail, I'll put the link in the show notes, you can grab it.
It brings this whole quarter together. But if I were to say it in one sentence, April gathers the data may reveals what's happening, and June will then show you the path. Okay. Now, I hope by now you can see how this works when you're asking something else or something outside of you. But when we're asking questions of ourselves, which let's face it, many times, that's what we're asking, it's going to be different.
We typically ask our mind, and in April we cannot ask our mind. We have to ask our body, and you can do this in many different ways. You can muscle test you can write two answers on a piece [00:15:00] of a paper and flip cards, like I'm gonna give you some really strong examples of how you can ask your body, and I'm gonna tell you why this is so impactful to me and something that I think everyone can do.
So. In April, I want you to pick a coin, just a regular roll coin that has a heads and a tail, and I had one of these coins back in 1999 and 2000 when I was traveling through Europe. This was before I had a cell phone. Oh my gosh. This is like the world of like internet cafes, right? I had this one big giant travel book, I think it was like roers or something where it was like, you know, the five pound book that I had in my backpack, and I didn't know where I was going ever.
I didn't have everything planned out. I really was using my intuition to guide me. And [00:16:00] so what I would do, would I always have this coin? And when I was moving to a new city, traveling to the next place, I would go to the train platform and those big train stations in Europe, just imagine right On each platform.
It was going to a completely different country destination. And so let's say I was in Italy and I was in the middle of the training platform, and I would take my coin and I would say, okay, heads, I'm going to Rome tails. I'm going to Venice I would flip the coin. But here's the thing. I did not always follow what the coin told me to do.
I used the coin flip to elicit a response from my body that told me what I wanted, and it looks like this the moment the coin landed. So say in this example, I saw heads. I would have a reaction split, second reaction, and you have to pay attention to this. It would either feel like, Ugh, I wish it was tails, or, Ooh, yes, Rome, right?
And in that [00:17:00] moment, that's where I made the decision and I would just jump on the train. So you're looking for those tiny feelings of either disappointment or excitement and not overriding what your body. Is telling you. So again, if you muscle test, if you do this with cards, if you write down, like I said, your decision on two pieces of paper and you pick one out of a hat, I'm not saying you go with what something outside of you tells you to do.
You're really paying attention to your body. And what it means, and I know this might sound difficult for those of you who are not so connected with your body, which again is why we really had to focus with that in March. But here's another example that I think you can really relate to. So in April when we're deciding what to do.
There will be signs, right? There will be signs that come to us from the [00:18:00] universe. These signs are never, ever, ever telling you what to do. They are here to disrupt your thought pattern so that you make the decision yourself. So another great example of this is, say you're planning to go someplace tonight, you're sitting in your house and you're like, okay, great.
I'm gonna go to this thing tonight. You go outside and you see that your car has a flat tire. This is not a sign from the universe that you are not meant to go. This is a sign for you to check yourself and to get curious, because one of two things will happen. You will see that flat tire and you'll be like, oh, perfect excuse.
I don't have to go tonight. Which tells me that you didn't really wanna go. You were going for. Other reasons. And so that tells you, Nope, thank you. I see you more please. You're not gonna go first, is if you go out and you see that flat tire you really wanna go to the event, you will find a way. You will fix a tire.
You'll call an Uber, you'll call a taxi, you'll walk, you'll [00:19:00] get there, right? So if you think about this energy of when you're fooling around this month, it's never really the literal answer or result. That is the thing. It's how you respond to the thing, right? And we say the same thing in business when we launch something, We are always looking for feedback, not validation. And when we are looking for feedback, it becomes more objective. We take things less personally and we try new things. And there are many times in my career where I tried something and it didn't work as I wanted, and if I really didn't wanna do it again, I would use that as a reason to not do it again, which just showed me that it wasn't aligned really with what I wanna do.
But there were times when something flopped and I looked at it and I still felt like I really wanted to do it. So then I took that information and I tweaked, I tweaked my strategy, I tweaked my marketing, I tweaked my messaging, I tweaked whatever, [00:20:00] and I did it again. And in that did it again. I got different results that time it worked.
All because I didn't let the information override what I really wanted to do. I let the information, the results, inform my curiosity to help me shift and change to have a different outcome. And that is also the energy of the five. Willingness to change, willingness to evolve. Right. But the.
Distraction or the disempowered side of the five is wobbling back and forth. you think of just that number five and how is that curved bottom, you can spend this whole month going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and never making a decision. No. You have to make a decision. That decision might not be the thing, but it'll be a breadcrumb to what you're really meant to do.
The body always [00:21:00] knows first, right? So the real meaning of April's energy is it's not about reckless decisions, it's about you creating situations that reveal your truth. So ask the question. Send the message, float the idea. Try the thing, not because you're forcing a result. But because remember, curiosity creates feedback, and feedback creates clarity.
Now again, going back to the power of questions, we need to ask questions that open the field, and I think it was Tony Robbins who's who said this. Don't quote me on this, But something like the quality of your life is determined by the quality of the questions that you ask, right? And I have always said that the quality of the answers you receive is determined by the quality of the question that you ask.
And I think what [00:22:00] Tony means by this, or what this energetically is trying to tell us is, you'll know when you are asking questions that are disguised versions of fear and these type of questions sound like, is this gonna work? Should I do this? Is this the right move?
You know, if you're, if you're consulting tarot cards, what is it? A or B? Right? Is it black or white? These sound reasonable to the brain, right? They seem very logical, but energetically they're closed questions because they are asking someone or something else to give you certainty. But this quarter, Q2 is not built for certainty.
It is built for discovery. So instead of asking questions that try to predict a static future, I want you to ask questions that open the field, questions that reveal information. [00:23:00] So let's kick a few of them around here. what could this look like if it were so easy? If this were an experiment instead of a decision, like what would I try.
I like this one. What am I assuming that might not actually be true? Am I basing this decision off of belief that perhaps I believe before, but might not actually be true? Which option feels more interesting, not just more logical? If I were 10% braver, What would I do? What would I try if I knew that I could change my mind later?
I love this because this is also the energy of the five. It's so temporary, right? It's just the middle point, and. It's just such a beautiful energy you have. You see how you have enough information under your belt. You have the 1, 2, 3, 4, and you make a decision, the five, but you still have enough time, 6, 7, 8, 9 to pivot and to change after this.
This [00:24:00] isn't a set it and forget it. It's the curiosity is unlocking discovery. And you know, I wanna go back here. To a little bit of the energy in March, which was planting the seeds. Okay. And. It's really important to continue to bring this into April. And it was so funny because during my mastermind call a few weeks ago, this concept came in and before I share this concept, I have to share with you that I'm not a gardener.
So if any of this is gardening inaccurate don't come at me. I mean, sure, come at me, let me know. But it's more about the energetics behind it. So when we are planting a garden. We're never just planting one type of seed, meaning there's this mix of annuals. So annuals are seeds that have one cycle, they like bloom, or they flower, or they produce for the year, and then it's done.
And then there are perennials, [00:25:00] which come back year after year, after year. So annuals live fast. They germinate, they grow, they bloom dramatically, they drop seeds, and then they're done. So energetically, these annuals are expression cycles. They're about creativity, experiments, ideas, these projects that burn bright for a moment.
These creative sparks, these collaboration, these launches, they're not meant to last forever. So why do we plant them? They exist to create color right away. They exist to create momentum. And you know, interestingly, many annual plants produce a huge number of seeds right before they die, which again mirrors how sometimes short cycles these bursts of creative energy often produce the most ideas.
And now if we look at the other side of this perennials, perennials are different. Perennials work on root time. Right. Instead of spotlight or sunlight time, the first year you plant them, might look a little [00:26:00] quiet. Nothing too impressive above the ground, but underneath there is massive root development.
And energetically, this is like mastery. It's identity, it's leadership. It's long-term work, it's deep relationships. It's a body of work that grows stronger over time. And so perennials energetically says you know, I'm not here for just a season. I'm here to be part of this ecosystem. And in April, we need both of these.
You are going to have some ideas that are like the annual plants, quick experiments, short cycles, creative sparks, right? And you are going to have some ideas that are more perennial like things that want deeper roots. Both are valuable, and I really want you to hear this. You need both. If you only focus on the metaphorical annual energy, you perhaps will get a short term gain or [00:27:00] create the shorter term momentum.
But it will die out, and then you will leave, or you will be left with a garden or an ecosystem that you totally need to replant again. Now, if you only plant perennials, you are not going to have any of these short term color, you might get discouraged, you might not know what is happening underneath the soil.
Both are valuable. You need in your business, and I also believe in your life, these metaphorical annual seeds and these metaphorical perennial seeds and they must be planted and they must work together. And again, I'm laughing at how much gardening metaphors I'm using, and I'm not a gardener, but I do know of this concept of companion planting where there are some plants, for example, like tomato and basil.
If you plant them close [00:28:00] together, they actually coexist beautifully in the soil because they are sharing the nutrient. Right. And there are some plants that you cannot plant together because one tends to overtake the other. So when you're looking at what it is you are trying, what it is you are doing, how it is, you are effing around, there has to be a strategy.
Behind it because if you don't, one of your offers or one of your ideas might literally cannibalize another. And so we're looking at this ecosphere, this really walking the line of risk. And risk is a line that I love. I love to walk. And it's funny I wasn't gonna say this, but you know, part of my work on Wall Street and with investments is to do a risk analysis with everyone.
And if you're curious about your own risk analysis, this is part of a larger program I offer, which is [00:29:00] abundance codes. And I think it is really important to know your individual risk. Assessment because that will determine how far in a good way you can push it. And this is really important also, if you have clients, for you to know everyone's aversion to risk or comfortability with risk is going to be different.
April is going to be asking everyone to take risks, but we're not going to all take the same risk for some of us. You know, jumping out of a plane might feel risky. Well, another person. You know, meeting someone new might be risky. Do you see here how we cannot compare actions with others? This month, what we are really doing is tapping into our own risk assessment and really pushing the definition of what we are willing to do to find out Now.
You heard me say a few times here [00:30:00] that a challenge in April will be distraction or will be so many ideas floating around that sometimes that creates a little bit of analysis paralysis, or we just feel pulled in so many different directions. So here's another really tangible tip that I want you to have in place for April.
It's called the parking lot. And I have to, you know, say that I don't think I developed this. This was always even part of when I worked in corporate where we had these big meetings and you know, there would be a topic or an agenda and someone would raise their hand and ask question. Not related to that topic, but it was a good question.
And In that instance, we always train the facilitators to not answer the question, but to say, listen, that's a great question. Let's put it in the parking lot. And back when I worked that meant it was a big flip chart where we wrote the question and then at the end of the day of meetings, we would go back to that flip chart and we would go through the questions.
And the [00:31:00] interesting thing was that, say there were 10 questions there, I would say on average between six to eight. Had already gotten answered by the time we went to the parking lot. Amazing. Crossed those off the list and out of the four remaining. Again, we wouldn't spend time answering just yet. We would say, does this question still feel relevant?
Does this question still feel alive? And from there, probably two got crossed off the list. So a parking lot of 10, we probably spent time answering two. At the end of the day, imagine if we had actually taken those questions in the moment and spent time answering all of those questions, we would've wasted so much time.
We would've gone off course and it would've been inefficient. The same goes for you in April. I want you to find your version of the parking lot. It could be a notebook, be like [00:32:00] me, paper and pencil. It could be a notebook, it could be like on the app's note, the, the notes app on your phone, right? Or, or put it in a, in a, some type of digital.
As you can see, I'm not, not technologically savvy, but it can be some, some of digital parking lot. Whatever works for you. It's just somewhere to capture an idea or a question that you aren't able to get to in the moment, but you, do wanna revisit it, so, and you wanna put it there so it's not bouncing around in your energetic field.
So you wanna write it down and then you need to set a timeframe where you will revisit the parking lot. now. For some of my clients I'm laughing and for some of you, you have so many ideas that it might be beneficial for you to spend 15 minutes at the end of each day going through your parking lot.
For some of you, you could probably do this weekly, right? Biweekly, monthly, whatever it is. You're gonna go back to the parking lot. You're gonna gonna not think about, you're gonna write it down and you're gonna get it outta your brain. Then you're gonna go back to the parking lot and you're gonna say, okay, how many of [00:33:00] these are answered already?
And then if there are ideas, I want you to say, does this still feel alive right now? Or is this something for later? And you will then know exactly what to cross off the list. And here's the thing, do not keep anything in your parking lot longer than 10 days. Trust me on this. If you keep something in your parking lot longer than 10 days, it will be harder to restart that car.
It is much better to take it out of your parking lot and allow it to drive back in later if it's energetically aligned. here's where I know the heart will come in this month because I feel some of these parking lot things for you might be intentions you had for 2026, things that felt really exciting for you back in December and January, and you might have a hard time letting go of them.
But this month, trust me, on this is the month to either do it or don't. [00:34:00] Because if you don't make a decision here and this stays in your field, it will be more of a disappointing ending in August than it is for you to proactively release it. Now. so if you want to work with April's Energy, well, I want you to think like a curious scientist.
Run experiments, ask better questions. Let your body give you feedback. Gather the data. Remember, April doesn't need you to know everything. In fact, if you think you know everything. You are going to get very rude awakenings in April. I want you to be a learner. I want you to be a discoverer. I want you to get curious, and the last practical piece of advice here I'll give you is I'm laughing because I had written.
25 questions here that I wanted to share, but I think it might be overwhelming in a podcast because I know you [00:35:00] don't have space to write them down. Now, if you want a crash course and a made for you question bank on what types of questions will work well for you in life and business in April, I'm gonna put it in the calendar.
You get your first month for free. So download the calendar, get those questions. And also because I am so attuned with this energy and I have a very strong and beautiful relationship with risk, I feel a very important invitation here to give you. I have two spots open for Quantum Quarter. This is a three month container with me, so we'll be together for April, for May, and for June.
And we are gonna go all in on aligning this next chapter of your life, your business. These are the final spots that I will open until September. So if this energy is speaking to you. If you [00:36:00] feel like me, where now is the time, if you feel ahead to June and you want to feel so intensely proud of how you showed up in April and may, let me help you.
I will support you to do that and if that energy is speaking to you, I will put the link in the show notes. It is by application only, so you can reach out if that interests you. Who, who knew that a 40 minute podcast could be birthed out of a single meme that I saw on the visualization? This my friend, is the power of energy and why I will always say that your biggest energetic advantage is figuring out how the universe speaks to you.
As always, energy first, strategy second, and the energy that I really want you to take with you into April is curiosity. Have so much fun f around so [00:37:00] much, and I can't wait to reconnect with you soon to learn exactly what you find out. See you next time.
Outro: Thanks for being here inside The Energetic Advantage. If today's episode open something for you, share it, tag it, or send to the person who popped into your mind. And remember, energy first strategy second. Your advantage has always been in you. Now it's time to lead with it. See you next time.
